Hare Krishna everyone
Yesterday we had 50th Bhakti Vriksha class by HG Sundarnath Prabhuji at Amit Prabhu and Ekta Mataji house and below are some key points we discussed on chapter 2 verse 52 from Bhagwat Gita as it is by His Divine Grace Swami Srila Prabhupad
1. HG Gokulanand Prabhu joined Bhakti Vriksha Jersey city from yesterday and he made two point a. Devotee association in this world is like oasis in desert. b. The basic nature of fish is to be in water. Fish would not accept anything in exchange of water, similarly until we satisfy the need of the soul which is to love and serve Krishna and to be in association of devotees, we cannot be happy.
Sundarnath Prabhuji made below points
1. 2nd chapter of Bhagwat Gita is summary of entire Bhagwat Gita, it is divided as Gyan yoga,Karma and Bhakti yoga. Prabhuji quoted on of his friend saying " Gyan se Karma karoge toh Bhakti milegi".
2.Ritual activities mentioned in vedas is to make people disciplined, these activities are for people who are doing nothing spiritually so by performing these rituals they would at least start somehow the spiritual journey.
3. The word spiritual means spirit + ritual.
4.In this verse Krishna is telling results if someone is acting based on Bhakti yoga. People practicing Bhakti yoga shall become indifferent to all that has been heard and all that is to be heard.
5. Practices(rituals) mentioned in vedas are described as dense forest because these activities help achieving material desires and material desires have no end. These activities doesn't help one to come out of the cycle of life and death.
6.Needs of soul can only be fulfilled by God.
7. Rituals needs to be performed in Krishna consciousness.
8.A pure devotee (Sitaprayag) is the one who sees Krishna in every act e.g. While crossing a road Radhanath swami mentioned the hand for stop sign is the golden hand of Radharani bestowing her mercy on us.
Seeing at a deli store and comparing it against the direction of Bhakti center, Radhanath swami said Vrindavan is south to Delhi.
